Muhammadu Buhari sworn in Nigerian presidency

Muhammadu Buhari was sworn in for a second term as president of Nigeria at a ceremony in Abuja, the capital.

The president was sworn in traditional dress – a simple white dress and an embroidered hat.

"I solemnly swear that I will be faithful and bear genuine allegiance to the Federal Republic of Nigeria," he said. "I will preserve, protect and defend the constitution."

Mr. Buhari's to-do list includes the revival of a weak economy and the fight against corruption and insecurity.
