Unemployed, 29 years old, placed in pre-trial detention for rape and theft

Ho, May 30, GNA – Dawn repeated Dawn Yram Zaney,
29-year-old unemployed has been remanded in custody by a district court in Ho for
allegedly stole and raped a student at Ho Technical University.

His request was not retained and would reappear in
court on June 11, 2019.

His accomplice known only as "Wale" is on
the race.

Prosecution, Stephen Police Inspector
Atidzon told the court presided over by Mrs. Priscilla Dikro Ofori that the month of May
July 22, 2019 around 00:30, complainants, students of Ho Technical

The prosecution said the defendants

Itel phones victims.

He said the defendants then walked
victims at close range at a distance of about 150 meters and Zaney forced one of the
the plaintiffs on a septic tank and raped her.

Inspector Atidzon said that the other complainant
lied that she was pregnant so that the accused only badually badaulted her by
insert his finger in his private part.

He said the accused and his accomplice
after the act, leaving the victims to their fate.

The prosecution said that a complaint had been lodged
with police and medical report forms were given to both victims to attend
hospital for examination.

He added that the complainants then led the
