Erling Braut Haaland scored nine goals as Norway beat Honduras 12-0 at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.

Haaland, the son of former Norwegian midfielder Alf-Inge Haaland, opened the scoring in the seventh minute against Honduras, who ended the match with nine men and scored the final goal at the last minute.

The Red Bull striker Salzburg, 18, was born in Leeds, where his father played at the time.

The win put Norway third in the group, with Honduras at the bottom of the list.

Only the first two of each of the six groups qualify automatically; Norway must wait to see if it is also among the top four teams in third place.
