Michael Caine holds a stick of confidence while he is recovering from an ankle injury

The screen legend, Michael Caine, relies on his faithful stick – and two powerful helpers – as he shows up yesterday after an ankle injury.

Caine, 86, was in London's BBC Radio 2 studios to discuss her autobiography, The Elephant to Hollywood, which details her rise to fame.

His career has spanned more than five decades and his narrative covers his journey from his poverty-stricken childhood to a box office star.

The Italian star of employment uses the cane since her ankle injury during an ice fall in February 2018.

His spokesman told Mirror Online at the time: "Michael slipped and broke his ankle in his garden during the recent heavy snow."

In July, it was about to repair, but it became painful for the legend of the big screen.

Caine told TimeOut: "It's okay, it's a huge inconvenience."

The appearance on the radio comes a day after he accidentally swore on The One Show of the BBC.

Caine was talking about The Swarm of 1978, which had been one of his biggest failures, when he turned blue air.

Recalling one of the moments of the film, he said: "After noticing small black spots on our shirts, we looked up and the bees let us go."

Despite trying to quell her laugh, presenter Angela Scanlon was forced to apologize to viewers for the blunder preceding the watershed, saying, "Sorry for the language."
