Sergio Ramos made it clear that he wanted to stay at Real Madrid until the end of his career, although the 33-year-old insists that he had the opportunity to settle in China.
Ramos has been part of Real since 2005 and is a mainstay at the heart of the team's defense.
However, Real has had a very disappointing 2018/19 campaign and boss Zinedine Zidane is expected to make radical changes to his team this summer.
Ramos says he's not looking to leave Santiago Bernabeu and wants to spend the rest of his career with the giants of La Liga.
"I want to be very clear," he said. "A lot of things have been speculated, I'm a madridist, I want to finish my career here, I want to leave the past behind, the bad season, I want to retire here.
"The offer is on the table [from China] and I talked to the club and the president. But I never wanted to go to China. I did not ask to be let go. Many things have been speculated. But I have a wedding in two weeks and I wanted to clear that up.
"If a player goes in and wins more, that's a good sign because it means that he's a" crack. "The financial side does not interest me, as long as I have a contract and that I am happy.
"Everyone has what it deserves and the comparisons are hateful.I would play for free Madrid."
Real Madrid is 6/4 to win the La Liga title in 2019/20 while Barcelona can be supported at 4/7.
