Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane offer the best of their abilities, whether they are fasting or not – Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said he would welcome the decision of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to fast in the final UEFA Champions League match against Tottenham Hotspur.

The African stars are part of the team of 23 Liverpool players for the last meeting and could play a role at Wanda Metropolitano Saturday.

As Muslim devotees, Mane and Salah observe Ramadan and Klopp believes that it will not affect their performance against the Spurs, who are aiming for a sixth UEFA Champions League trophy.

"There is no problem with the fasting of my players, I respect their religion, they have always been wonderful and they have offered the best whether they are fasting or not," Klopp said. Independent Egypt.

The duo have been exceptional for Liverpool this season with 26 goals each in all competitions of this campaign.

Salah and Mane are scheduled for Egypt and Senegal respectively for the 2019 Nations Cup of Nations after being named to their provisional teams.

Egypt is the host country of the tournament and they were drawn in Group A against DR Congo, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Senegal have dates against Algeria, Tanzania and Kenya in the group C.
