The University of Development Studies (UDS) deployed a total of 7,185 students in 599 communities in the Bono, North and Far East regions to begin their field practice program in the third quarter (TTFPP) in order to contribute to the development of communities.

This year's TTFPP, which will end on July 27, has also attracted three foreign university students from North Carolina, United States.

The TTFPP, which is part of UDS's academic activities, seeks to badociate academia with the outside world by helping students appreciate the realities of rural life so that they develop a positive attitude. with regard to work in these areas.

Professor Gabriel Ayum Teye, Vice Chancellor of the UDS, who spoke Thursday of an orientation for TTFPP students before their deployment to Tamale, urged students to provide useful services to their host communities , such as teaching children their lives.

During orientation, students were informed about how to lead healthy lives, behave and know what to do when facing problems in the communities.

Professor Teye urged students to use this opportunity to generate useful and credible data to contribute to effective development planning to address community challenges.

He added that the TTFPP was attracting the interest of various universities in Europe, Canada and Africa, who wanted to join him to learn more about its impact and eventually to adopt it.

He therefore appealed to the government and other organizations and individuals to support UDS in the implementation of the TTFPP in order to contribute to the development of the community.

Professor Seidu Al-Hbadan, Vice Chancellor of the UDS, advised students to work in teams and ask relevant questions to generate useful information for development planning.

Professor Francis Obeng, Senior Lecturer and Director of the TTFPP, explained to the students that the TTFPP was a rewarding experience in that it would build them for the future, advising them to behave and respect the laws of the country and the ways and customs of communities to live in harmony with their host communities.
