The Interior Ministry has notified the public that the day of the celebration of Eid al-Fitr will be a public holiday on Wednesday, 5 January.th from June 2019.
In a statement signed by Interior Minister Ambrose Dery, the public was invited to observe the said date as a holiday.

The general public is informed that on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, the day of the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, is a legally declared holiday and that it should be observed throughout the country.
