He attributed continued flooding to the lack of political will of the government and the inaction of policymakers.

In an interview with the GNA in Accra, Appiah said that, as leaders have not solved the problem, people should take individual measures in their neighborhood to end the ongoing floods and save lives and lives. goods.

According to Mr. George Ayisi, NADMO's communications officer, no deaths were recorded as a result of the floods, but properties worth several thousand Cedis were destroyed.

He added that NADOM officials were still badessing the level of destruction and that a report would be submitted to the authorities at the end of the day for him to take the necessary measures.

Ayisi urged people to take warnings of weather forecasts very seriously and to ensure that people in flood-prone areas move on higher ground to protect lives.

He denied the allegation that yesterday's downpour would have cost a living, adding that "our rescue team has followed the flow but nothing has been found".

He added that NADMO had trained disaster volunteers in communities to help members identify their problems and help them resolve them, and that the organization is committed to recruiting more volunteers in the communities. the communities.

He went on to explain that these volunteers were not part of the government's payroll but were dedicated individuals who sacrificed themselves to help solve the problems of their communities.

Officials from the Ghana Meteorological Agency said that yesterday's rain measured 78 mm and warned the public to expect more abundant rains measuring 100 mm from now, as they had reaches their maximum.
