President Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to suspend the position of the Minister of Defense, the Northern Regional Minister and the Director of the National Investigation Bureau (BNI) on the resolution of the Chereponi conflict.

According to the vice president of the IMANI Africa think tank, it would be a call for three, whose offices are well equipped to end the conflict.

"Bring together the positions of Northern and Defense Ministers and the Director of BNI on this issue," Kofi Bentil told Newsfile on Saturday.

The chair should tell ministers in the northern region to "make sure the problem does not arise; "If that happens, I take your resignation."

He added that the office of national security should also be held responsible for establishing peace in the region.

Clashes between Konkombas and Chokosis in Chereponi have led many residents to flee the area.

Many homes were set on fire by raging young people.

Health workers and even teachers have abandoned their jobs for fear of life, leaving students stranded.

A ceasefire was set up in Chereponi following the visit of the Minister of Defense, who belongs to one of the warring factions.
