In a speech read on his behalf, Pe Adda II thanked President Akufo-Addo for his unwavering support and love for the people of Navrongo, as well as for his tireless efforts to ensure lasting peace in northern Ghana.
He was pleased with the rehabilitation of the Tono Irrigation Project and the Government's Planter Plan for Food and Employment, which he said would create economic opportunities for people in the region.
The leader also praised the government's decision to turn the UDS campus in Navrongo into an autonomous university of technology and applied sciences.
Pe Adda said plans were underway to institutionalize traditional governance to isolate this institution from the tensions and conflicts badociated in the region.
