A nod to Princess Grace as Charlotte Casiraghi marries Dimitri Rassam in Monaco – Royal Central

Charlotte Casiraghi married her partner, Dimitri Rbadam, at the Prince's Palace in Monaco. The eldest grandchild of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace is married during a civil ceremony on June 1^st 2019.

And the bride seems to be inspired by her famous grandmother for her wedding dress. Charlotte wore a stone-colored lace dress signed Yves Saint Laurent and adorned with three knots on the front. Princess Grace's chosen outfit for her civil wedding was a pale pink lace skirt suit with knots on the front of the jacket in the style her granddaughter chose.

This last royal wedding in Monaco was followed by a reception at the Palais du Prince and an evening at night for which the bride wore a strapless white evening dress.

The mother of the bride, Princess Caroline of Hanover, and the mother of the groom, the actress Carole Bouquet, occupied a prominent place at the forefront of the wedding. Charlotte and Dimitri both lost their father very young.

Prince Albert II of Monaco, uncle of the bride, and his wife, Princess Charlene, led the royal guests to the celebration. Charlotte's brothers and sisters came to support her on her big day. Andrea Casiraghi and his wife Tatiana were present alongside Pierre Casiraghi and Béatrice Borromée. Princess Alexandra of Hanover, Caroline's daughter from her marriage to Prince Ernst August of Hanover, was also present.

Charlotte and Dmitri became engaged in March 2018 and welcomed a son, Balthazar, last October. It is understood that their little boy was baptized on their wedding day. Charlotte also has a 5-year-old son, Raphael, from her relationship with Gad Elmaleh, while Dmitri has a 7-year-old daughter, Darya, born from her first marriage. All the children of the couple were at the wedding.

Charlotte Casiraghi was born in August 1986 from Princess Caroline and her second husband, Stefano Casiraghi, who died as a result of a motor boat accident in 1990. She is currently eleventh on the Monegasque throne.

Charlotte and Dimitri plan to hold a second religious wedding, probably in the village of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in France, where the wife spent her childhood after the death of her father.
