US President Donald Trump has denied having labeled Meghan Markle "nasty" Duchess of Susbad, despite comments.

"I've never called Meghan Markle" nasty, "he tweeted on Sunday, adding," Made by the Fake News Media, and they've been trapped! "

Mr. Trump made these remarks about the Duchess in an interview with the Sun newspaper, about her state visit to the UK.

The former American actress strongly criticized Mr. Trump.

She supported her Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the 2016 elections and termed it a "divisive factor" and "misogynist".

Testifying to his comments during his interview with the Sun, President Trump said it was the first time he had heard them.

"I did not know, what can I say, I did not know she was mean," he said.

He went on to say that he was happy that she had joined the royal family and that he believed that she would make a "very good" princess.

"That's good, and I'm sure she'll be doing very well," he said.

On Saturday, Sun released an audio recording of the interview on his website.

Following Mr Trump's refusal on Twitter the day after the interview was published, several commentators pointed out that the comments were recorded.

The Duchess, married to British Prince Harry, gave birth to the couple's first child in May. She is on maternity leave and is unlikely to meet with President Trump during her visit from June 3rd to 5th.
