Dr. Kwabena Adjei was buried yesterday
Dr. Kwabena Adjei, a former national president of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was buried Saturday after a funeral ceremony in the city of Nkonya, in the region of Oti.
The service was well received by former President John Dramani Mahama, Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, National President of the NDC, Mr. Asiedu Nketia, Secretary General of the NDC, members of the National Executive Board of the NDC, D & ## Former ministers of state and former officials appointed to the presence.
Dr. Archibald Letsa, Regional Minister of the Volta, Mr. Maxwell Kofi Blagodzie, Deputy Minister of the Oti Region, Mr. Sammy Awuku, National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Monah, National President of the Convention National Peoples, were all present to pay their last tribute to the former national president of the NDC, better known as "Wayoo, Wayoo".
Also present were traditional chiefs, clergy, former and current members of Parliament, and Haruna Iddrisu, head of the Minorities Parliament.
In a sermon, Reverend Dr. Emmanuel Kwabena Adjei Amey, Clerk of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, reminded people in mourning that the days on earth were short, hence the need to seek God and escape the craze for material things.
He said that life was beyond the grave and that it was important that everyone prepare for judgment with good deeds on the earth.
Reverend Dr. Amey praised the late Dr. Adjei as a person who lived for the benefit of others, especially from the grbadroots, and expressed his opinion on issues without regard to people involved.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, former President Jerry John Rawlings, former President John Dramani Mahama, NDC, PNC, NPP and wife and children of the late Dr. Kwabena Adjei.
The former NDC national president, referred to by many astute politician, died last March at the Accra Regional Hospital, at the age of 76.
