In 2014, Quentin Tarantino started working on a comicbook sequel to the 2012 one Django Unchained. He proposed the concept, while Matt Wagner wrote the books and Esteve Polls took charge of the works of art. Now, according to collider, Tarantino has The Carmichael showJerrod Carmichael decided to write a film based on the series.
The story takes place several years after the events of the film. Django is still a bounty hunter and since he has a warrant on his head, he's mainly working in the western states. After safely installing his wife, Broomhilda, near Chicago, he resumes the road and sends him funds every time he finishes a job. It is by chance that he meets the old and sophisticated Diego de la Vega – the famous Zorro – and quickly let himself be fascinated by this extraordinary character, who also knows how to defend himself during a fight. Django soon becomes Diego's "bodyguard" and joins him on a mission to free local indigenous people from slavery.
Although the director has been looking for some time to turn this film into a film, he has been busy with many other projects, including this year's. Once upon a time … in Hollywood. Now, however, he would have developed the film. It is doubtful that he directs, as he tends to favor his own scenarios. While he said he wanted to withdraw after 10 movies, a Django / Zorro crossover seems an unlikely way to pull out. Nevertheless, he will always look for someone to make the movie a reality, baduming it goes ahead.
