517,332 students to write 2019 BECE | Education

A total of 517,332 high school final year students will participate in this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) starting Monday June June 2019.

They include 263,616 men and 253,716 women.

Last year, 509,824 candidates pbaded the exam, which represents an increase of 7,508 candidates.

Candidates from BECE 2019, from 16,871 JHS, both public and private, will come to 1,880 centers across the country.

The examination, which will take place from June 10 to 14, 2019, will consist of 1,880 supervisors and 18,136 supervisors.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) statistics available to the Junior Graphic indicate that the Ashanti region will, as usual, have the highest number of candidates, ie 104,461 or 52,945 men. and 51,516 women.

The Greater Accra region follows the Ashanti region with 90,584 candidates, including 43,273 men and 47,311 women.

The central region has 55,535 candidates (28,212 men and 27,323 women), while the western region has 52,806 (27,269 men and 25,537 women), while the Brong Ahafo region has 49,127 (25,619 women). men and 23,508).
