The exercise is supported by 20 volunteers from Ho University Hospital.
Dr. Abrokwaa-Yankyera, consultant plastic surgeon and former head of the Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit at Military 37 Hospital, said the foundation was established in 2009 to offer both reconstruction surgery expected to the least privileged.
Ms. Fati Ahmed, Administrative Secretary of the Foundation, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that some parents had even abandoned their children because of living conditions and that the Foundation had saved hundreds of such situations from the beginning. surgical procedures in 2013.
She added that more than 300 patients had been selected for this year's project and that the 108 preselected candidates had been pre-conditioned for surgery, with patients having a cleft being placed in diets.
