Thomas Partey would be interested in a move to England if the chance arises, according to the Atletico Madrid midfielder's father.

The 25-year-old is thinking for a Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United, with both clubs looking to improve in midfield before next season.

The Ghana International enjoyed a successful campaign for Diego Simeone's side, making 42 appearances in all competitions this campaign and finding the net three times.

Although Partey is under contract in Madrid until 2023, his agent has put teams on alert after revealing last month that the midfielder has a £ 43.5 million release clause.

And his father, Hon Adjiingo, claims that the player would like the opportunity to play in England.

"I personally told him to move on, if he is not wanted at where he is right now," he told Enigye FM , via Ghana Web.

"Because he might be wanted somewhere else and he will be able to move to England if he gets lucky."

Partey is currently preparing to represent Ghana in this year's Africa Cup of Nations.

But the midfielder has already been admitted that he is in no rush to leave Atletico this summer while he continues to play regular football.

"It's hard for me to talk about the next minute it will be like 'Thomas is trying to leave' but is happy to make me happy," he told BBC Sport last month.

Partey said he is no rush to leave Atletico

"I keep saying I am lucky to be here now.

"I do not know what the future holds for me.

"So the only thing that would make me unhappy will not be playing.

"I think most footballers can understand that you can not play football."
