Interpol on Tuesday issued "red notices" calling for the arrest of seven fugitives wanted for "crimes against the environment", from illegal killing to poaching elephants.
The rare appeal of the international police organization based in Lyon, France precedes World Environment Day Wednesday.
"We have highlighted seven wanted criminals in different countries … for crimes against the environment," Tim Morris, Interpol's executive director, told AFP, adding that these crimes included Illegal logging, poaching and ivory trafficking.
