Real Madrid striker James Rodriguez will leave Bayern Munich at the end of his loan, after asking the German club not to choose the option to buy it.

Colombian international Rodriguez, 27, spent two seasons at Bayern, scoring 15 goals in 67 games.

He won the Bundesliga twice as good as the German Cup with Bayern.

Rodriguez, winner of the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup, has joined the Real from Monaco for a total of 71 million pounds this summer.

"The Colombian international has asked the leadership of the German record champion not to accept the purchase option agreed with Real," said the Bundesliga club.
