Muslims in the military are urged to maintain a healthy spiritual life

Accra, June 5, GNA – Sheikh Nurudeen
Attuquaye Quaye, imam of the military school and the training school (MATS), has
urged Muslims of the Armed Forces of Ghana (GAF) to maintain a healthy spiritual spirit
life even after the blessed month of Ramadan.

He said the spiritual heights attained as
result of the continuous fasting of one month would bring no result if it failed.
reflect in their lives, duties, actions and in their moral responsibilities.

"We should strive to maintain these peaks
by maintaining a healthy spiritual life as prescribed and conceived by the Holy
Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet, "said Imam.

Sheikh Quaye said this in his sermon at the
Celebration of the Eid-ul-Fitr by GAF Muslims at the Al-Aziz Central Mosque in
The Burma camp in Accra Wednesday.

He prayed the gathering to meditate on
the lessons taught by the period of one month of compulsory religious exercise and
get closer to Allah.

He said the essence of Ramadan fasting
was to ensure spiritual atonement, forgiveness and receive abundant grace
and favor of Allah.

Sheikh Quaye said that the month also recalled
and taught humanity the means to approach Allah and his methodology which was
the only way for humanity to undergo a spiritual transformation.

He advised Muslims to keep in mind their
obligations towards physical, spiritual and moral education and well-being
their wives, children and dependents, adding that "since we will be detained
responsible in this regard in the afterlife. "

In a speech read in his name by Major
General Thomas Oppong Peprah, Chief of Staff of GAF, Lieutenant General Obed
Akwa, the Chief of the Defense Staff, congratulated the Muslim community of the GAF for
a continuous fasting successful of 30 days.

"This month of Ramadhan, fasting has not only
allowed you as uniformed personnel, civilian employees and beloved families of
reach the necessary spiritual heights as servants of Allah, but pointed out
the call to the service of Allah and the service of humanity by drawing you all
closer to Allah; and a fortiori, reminding you of your homework and your morale
responsibilities entrusted to you as a Muslim, "he said.

He said the lessons learned from the month
of fasting should urge all Muslims in Ghana to promote peace, tolerance and
mutual coexistence in the neighborhood.

He donated sacks of rice, kitchen boxes
oil and unspecified items to the Muslim community of GAF.
