The Dutch government has big ambitions with government support for start-ups and scale-ups and a new initiative: TechLeap.NL

To this end, the Dutch government today launched at the World Summit on Entrepreneurship (GES) in The Hague a broad package of measures and a new initiative: TechLeap.NL, a major collective effort to strengthen the growth and notoriety of Dutch transplants.

Amsterdam-StartupDelta has not only seen the largest increase in the ranking of young genome start-ups, from n ° 19 in 2017 to n ° 15 in 2019, it has also experienced strong growth in terms of funding, start-up production, as well as Deep Tech. His position was also aided by the successful outflows of Adyen (a Fintech company valued at nearly $ 23 billion) and Elastic (a research and data company now valued at over $ 6 billion). of dollars).
To maintain such a generation of startups worth billions of dollars, the Dutch government will release 65 million euros for start-up and development policies. A list of shares also includes a tax adjustment of the stock options by moving the timing of the taxation to the time of the badignment, the appointment of six start-up liaison officers in six priority international metropolitan areas ("hubs") and a pilot project granting a residence permit for key personnel of a start-up, originating from outside the EU .
StartupDelta becomes TechLeap.NL
In order to realize its ambition to become the best European ecosystem, the government also considers that the current accelerator of the Dutch ecosystem, StartupDelta, has a key role to play. Prince Constantijn van Oranje is ready to continue his efforts to strengthen the climate conducive to startups and scale-ups, even after mid-2019, as the program's special envoy under the new name of TechLeap.NL:
TechLeap.NL will focus on developing knowledge about the startup ecosystem, creating new initiatives in this ecosystem and connecting the largest Dutch companies to the best investors and programs. The focus will be on the topics of capital, talent and the market in relation to rapid growth.
The organization will be renewed under the name of TechLeap.NL until 2023. TechLeap.NL will announce its first annual plan in January 2020.
