A D-Day veteran was surrounded by love as he traveled to Normandy with his family to pay tribute to his fallen comrades. Frank DeVita and dozens of family members and friends went to the French beach for the 75th anniversary of the battle that changed the course of the Second World War. A New Jersey native, USS Samuel Chase's third clbad gunner, he still has good memories of the battle. He was 19 years old at the time and brought troops to the beach.
