Yul Edochie, a popular actor from Nollywood, survived a terrible road accident along the ore road on Tuesday.

The actor, who is a son of veteran actor, Pete Edochie, announced Wednesday the news on Instagram and described it as a "miraculous survival".

Edochie, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State for Creative & Entertainment Media, said that he was traveling to eastern Nigeria at the time of the accident .

"I left Lagos yesterday heading east, just before I arrived in Ore, traveling 100-200 km, my car lost control of the car and started to turn right.

"I tried to put the track back on track, but I realized I was knocked over until the car finally found itself in the gutter. Miraculously, I had cuts and bruises.

"I thank God Almighty for his blessings, I thank our Blessed Mother Mary and all the angels sent by God to protect me always, thank you."

Edochie, who had disputed the governorship of Anambra under the umbrella of the Democratic People's Congress in 2017, had collected 145 votes and bowed to the outgoing president.

He came into the spotlight in 2007 after playing alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot in the film Wind Of Glory.
