Airbnb is back in Japan, one year after the introduction of strict rules for sharing housing. It now has 73,000 registrations, compared with 62,000 before the introduction of the regulation. Its revival was boosted by 23,000 registrations from its traditional competitors – hotels and ryokan inns.
