Michelin looks to develop airless tire with General Motors

GM and Michelin presented the "Michelin Uptis Prototype" at the Movin'On Summit for Sustainable Mobility on Tuesday, June 4 in Montreal. Uptis stands for "Unique Puncture Resistant Tire System," according to a GM press release.
The automaker has announced its intention to develop this technology with Michelin in order to introduce it on pbadenger cars by 2024.
In the course of the year, GM will launch "field testing and validation" of a Michelin Uptis prototype with a fleet of Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles.
