According to district reports, the deceased was reportedly arrested along with two other suspects, Kwesi Ennin, 33, and Abotsu Omaru, 18.
They were arrested in a coconut plantation on the evening of Wednesday, June 4, after being informed that quantities of dried leaves were suspected of being narcotic.

The death of the suspect, however, provoked agitation among young residents who stormed the police station on Thursday morning demanding the release of the two remaining suspects.

The police officer also expressed his condolences to the deceased family and badured that the investigation would be thoroughly investigated.
The body of the deceased was deposited at the morgue of the hospital in Asikuma waiting for his autopsy.
