The unusual incident occurred on May 25 in the Uruguayan town of Paysandú. An unnamed traffic police officer reportedly arrested a motorist and, impressed by his physical appearance, he would have written a note to him for "imprudence in driving (excessive beauty on public roads)".

To make his intentions clear, the grievor also wrote "I like you" in the "Observations" section of the ticket.

He was just trying to be cute and had never imagined that the waterfall could make him fall into the hot water, but after the ticket was posted on social media and quickly became viral, his superiors opened an investigation.

The traffic violation has generated mixed reactions among social media users. While some expressed admiration for the traffic officer's flirtatious attempt, others accused him of abuse of power and harbadment. Some people have started talking about him as "the love traffic officer".

The superiors of the man were not too impressed by his gesture, and ABC indicates that they have started an investigation.

He is charged with issuing an official document for unauthorized purposes and, if found guilty, he risks a temporary suspension, demotion or even being removed from the road police. .
