The streaming platform has resumed the drama after the cancellation by Fox after three seasons.
Lucifer will stay on Earth for another race.
Netflix has renewed the drama for a fifth and final season. The series, starring Tom Ellis and based on the title of DC Comics, arrived in the streamer after Fox canceled it in May 2018 after three seasons.
Lucifer debuted on Netflix on May 8 with a series of 10 episodes shortened; Previous seasons on Fox had lasted at least 13 episodes each.
"We are extremely grateful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season and letting us end the story of Lucifer on our terms," creators Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich said Thursday. "More importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible pbadion and support – the best is yet to come!"
Netflix said: "We are delighted that Lucifer Fans around the world have adopted this series on Netflix and we can not wait to give them the big result that they all expected. "
The series, produced by Warner Bros. TV, was a regular but not spectacular performance during his stint at the Fox. Lucifer was one of many cut off network shows at the end of the 2017-2018 season as it was preparing to part ways with 20th Century Fox TV's twin studio (an agreement eventually concluded in early 2019 with the studio purchase by Disney's other 21st Century Fox badets).
Netflix does not regularly publish the viewing figures of its series.
