Ghana's contingent for the first African Beach Games to be held in Cape Verde has received its kits and is about to take off.

Chief of Mission Stephen Asante Bekoe introduced the Toyota Brand Kit at Olympic House – the GC Ridge office in Accra.

He advised them to be disciplined and to attend the Games as ambbadadors worthy of Ghana Sports and to always respect the Olympic Charter.

It inspired them not to be intimidated, but to make every effort to beat the best and become the best overall.

The athletes will represent Ghana in beach volleyball, karaoke do kata, basketball and free football.

Toyota Ghana donated 50 tracksuits, 50 baseball caps and 50 polos as well as three plane tickets to the SAL 2019 team last Tuesday during a short but impressive ceremony at the Toyota House .

The first African beach games will start on June 14-23, 2019. It is expected that 54 countries will participate in 11 events.

Sal, one of the 10 islands of the Cape Verde archipelago located 460 km west of Senegal, is an island of sunshine all year, sea of ​​39; azure blue and vast white sand beaches. It is these features that have made the island the ideal place for the first African Beach Games.

Sal is a popular sport and activities area, such as kite surfing, windsurfing, surfing, diving and fishing, while becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination.
