Some Ghanaians rejected Korlot Klottey MP Zunchor Rawlings' badertion that the Akufo-Addo government should hand over control of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) if the repair of drainage systems in the country was difficult.
The MP, who believes that the nuclear power plant is unable to solve the problems of Ghana, suggested during a visit to some flooded areas in Accra on June 3, 2019 that:
"If they know that they can not tackle this drainage system problem, they should hand them over to us and we'll do a happy job with the work we were doing under the NDC at the ## 148 ## # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # President Mahama's time.".

Dr Rawlings added that President Akufo-Addo had taken out a loan to solve the drainage problems in the country, but for two and a half years there is no work to be done.
She further stated that the drainage system near the Kokomba market should have been repaired so that, whenever it rains, the water could easily flow into the sea rather than return. in the Odawna drainage, which normally causes flooding in Odawna and its surroundings.
However, some Ghanaians on social media, in response to the statement by the MP for Korle Klottey, expressed divergent views and opinions, with the majority suggesting that the PNDC / NDC government was running Ghana for 27 years without doing anything to solve the problem of persistent floods in the country.
Some also supported his claims, saying that "The NPP was a party without intelligence."
