It was confirmed this morning that Chelsea had appealed their transfer ban through the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
As reported by the Daily Mail, CBS issued a statement this morning revealing that it had received Chelsea's approach.
The appeal process is still in its infancy and Chelsea has not yet tried to ensure that the ban is frozen for this summer's transfer window. The report states that this is a "last attempt to lift the transfer sanctions".
It is feared that Chelsea is trying to freeze the ban, so it could be extended to three windows, which the club obviously wants to avoid.
In the current state of affairs, it seems that Chelsea's position may change once the appeal process is over.
