Exam Board (WAEC) has created a school selection portal to help
elementary school students choose the high schools of their choice.
A press release of June 4, 2019
, copied to all regional directors of education and spotted by the Ghana News Agency, said that,
selection portal schools will also help potential candidates to make an easy
entry into the upper secondary schools (SHS) and the secondary technical high schools (SHTS) and
Technical institutes during the internships of the academic year 2019/2020.
He also indicated that the portal was a
compliment of the Computerized School Selection Placement System (CSSP) by Ghana
Department of Education (GES).
According to the release, all regional players
Administrators must make the information available to their respective metropolitan administrations.
Municipal and District Directors to the attention of the school within their
districts and the general public and must ensure that the process is carried out
according to the guidelines of the Ghana Education Service.
