Callum Macleod was so convinced that his appearance on Love Island would propel him into a reality TV life. He left his job before entering the villa.
Welshman, 28, however, saw those dreams dashed after being dropped from the ITV2 show after only five days.
Callum earned a reasonable salary as an aeronautical engineer but wanted to enjoy the wealth of being a reality TV star, so he quit his job before joining his fellow islanders.
In recent years, Love Island has helped some of its biggest names to become millionaires, and it's this lifestyle that prompted Callum to give another photo after a previous disagreement with reality TV.
Callum lost partner Amber Gill to Anton Danyluk at the first match of Love Island's new series. From now on, he is not only looking for love, he is also looking for a job.

He had initially requested a sabbatical from his role, which he pursued in the villa but was refused.

Fearful of not being able to travel to the Love Island Finals, Callum had previously admitted that his "long-term plan" was to return to the aviation industry.
This may be the best option for Callum now because it was his second rejection on a TV dating program, having previously failed to impress Celebs Go Dating singletons.
Callum joined the former "faithful" of Love Islander, Georgia, and kitten Atomic Kerry Katona, but the presence of this man was not enough to protect him with one of the female stars.
Speaking of his stint in the series, Callum revealed: "I went on Celebs – but I did not go out with anyone.

He is now "gutted" to be the first to be dropped from the island but admitted he "loved every minute".
Callum explained his plan by stating, "I did not go with a game plan, I went there to meet someone, it's a chance in a way.
