Gareth Bale "makes a transfer statement" to Real Madrid with the interest of Man Utd

Gareth Bale is convinced of his future at Real Madrid and told club leaders that he would not be hunted this summer.

The Welshman was deemed surplus by the Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, who is preparing for a big summer break.

Mirror Football revealed Friday that Bale could be included in an agreement with Manchester United to bring Paul Pogba to Spain.

Basel could be used as a sweetener if an agreement could be reached over the remaining three years of its mega contract worth more than £ 600,000 per week.

However, reports in Spain claimed that Bale wanted to stay in place regardless of the club's position.
