Trump still threatens tariff on Mexico despite agreement
Trump defended Friday's deal with Mexico to avoid a 5% duty on all Mexican products

President Donald Trump says he can renew his tariff threat against Mexico if the US ally does not cooperate on border issues.
Trump said Sunday in a series of tweets that "if for some unknown reason" such cooperation fails, "we can always return to our previous, very profitable, tariff position". He says that he does not believe that "It will be necessary.
Trump defended Friday's deal with Mexico to avoid a 5% tariff on all Mexican products scheduled to come into effect Monday. It has been announced with a lot of fanfare, but has few new solutions to quickly stop the influx of migrants entering the United States.
He insists that this includes the changes that his and other administrations have called for, "but have not been able to get them, nor get them all" until now.
