MANCHESTER UNITED is ready to keep David De Gea for £ 20 million if he leaves for Paris Saint-Germain now.

United's silver men are prepared for an offer from the French company and will accept between 60 and 75 million pounds.

And, as we revealed last week, the Old Trafford club will have to give De Gea, 28, a golden handshake to kick him out instead of waiting for the end of his contract with United.

The amount of £ 20 million is mentioned by those involved. That would make up for the loss for United and could be enough for De Gea to pull up earlier.

De Gea knows he will have the chance to get a fortune from his next club if there is no transfer fee to pay.

And he's happy to play against United this summer, unless he gets paid to move on.

Insiders believe that a compromise can be found – and De Gea has to be careful because there is a rival for the vacant PSG job left behind by Italian Gianluigi Buffon.

Hugo Lloris, the Tottenham goalkeeper, is the main alternative and could still be called in the coming weeks.

Lloris, 32, winner of the World Cup, is worshiped at home after leading France to glory in Russia 12 months ago. He does not intend to leave London, but that could change if an offer came in.

The Spurs would require huge fees for Lloris but could do business.

The money would buy a younger one, with several on the market, plus any extra added to the transfer of Mauricio Pochettino's cat.
