The suspect, aged about 20, was arrested Saturday morning around 4 am with items such as shoes, bags, egg boxes, among others.
Bismark Koomson, chairman of the unity committee community, told Connect FM that the suspect had been arrested while he was looking for the loot that he had hidden in an unfinished building.
"He had managed to stack things, including belongings that were supposed to have been stolen from a shop and hidden in the unfinished building. They came to pick them up, but a resident who had seen the items and became suspicious ambushed and arrested him around 4 am, "explained the chairman of the unit committee.
When the suspect was asked to mention his name, he said that he could not remember it, but that he only knew his nickname "Shaggy", causing uncontrollable laughter. .
He has since been handed over to the Sekondi police with the stolen items.
