The summit embodies the president's ongoing commitment to laying the groundwork for a productive and mutually beneficial relationship between the Ghanaian government and Ghanaians abroad.

This year's theme is "Recognizing the potential of the Ghanaian diaspora"

The Consul General, on behalf of the Ghana Mission, also took the opportunity to show how crucial and imperative this summit was. "At this summit, you will have the opportunity to network with other nationals of other countries who share your vision and goals."

He also said that if they decided to resettle in Ghana, their goal should be to start their own businesses, whatever their size, rather than depending on the government to find a job.

"At the summit, all sectors of the economy will be represented to interact with the participants," Professor Amoako said.
