Namibia Football Association Public Relations Officer Dan Kamati said his team's victory over Ghana's Black Stars would boost his team's confidence for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Namibia beat Ghana on Sunday in a pre-AFCON match by a single goal in Abu Dhabi where both teams are currently based and preparing for the tournament.

"Winning against Ghana boosts the morale of our team before the Afcon tournament because Ghana is a big team in African football," said Kamati to Ashh FM.

Kamati also said the match was a good test for the national team as it helped the coach make his choice, while identifying his team's weaknesses and strengths before the tournament. "It was a good test for our technical team to access their team and to select their final team for the Afcon tournament"
