EastEnders star Danny Walters divides longtime girlfriend Lily Smith

The EastEnders star, Danny Walters, is separated from his longtime girlfriend, Lily Smith.

The 26-year-old actor, who plays Keanu Taylor in the BBC soap opera, had been dating Lily for five years, but they decided to suspend their relationship by mutual consent.

The couple regularly documented their romance on social media, sharing photos of their holidays in the sun and spending time together in hot tubs.

However, Danny would have wanted to focus on his work and they decided that it was time to take a break.

A source told the Sun: "They are both very young and have a lot of things to do separately, so I thought it was better to try to be single.

"However, they stay close and respect each other a lot."

Danny has had a significant impact since arriving at Albert Square in June 2017, winning the National Television Award for Best Newcomer 12 months later.

He appeared for the first time on our screens in 2012 when he played alongside Suranne Jones in the movie Broken Hearts.

He had studied at the London School of Musical Theater between 2011 and 2012 and has proven to be a fan favorite since his appearance in Walford.
