The Queen Mother of Adabraka, Naa Korkor Aadizeoyi I, advised girls from the Boundary Road School Group in Adabraka, Accra, to refrain from any badual activity in order to avoid early pregnancies.

She added that if they engaged in badual activity, they could not only become pregnant, but also become infected with badually transmitted diseases that could jeopardize their lives and their future ambitions.

"I want you to know that each of you, girls, has great potential, you can realize your dreams when you take your education seriously."

"However, if you engaged in badual activity, you would become pregnant and that would prevent you from realizing your dreams," she said.

She also urged girls to practice good personal hygiene, especially during menstruation, frequently changing their towels, bathing at least twice a day, and wearing clean clothes.

Naa Korkor Aadizeoyi I stated this during a visit to the school to commemorate the day of menstrual hygiene on May 28, 2019.

As part of the menstrual hygiene day celebration, nurses from the Adabraka Polyclinic explained to the girls what they should do during menstruation.

They also learned to wear the cushion appropriately.

The girls also had the opportunity to share their experiences and concerns with the nurses.

After interacting with the girls, the Queen Mother encouraged the graduating students to study hard in order to excel in the Basic Education Certification Exam (B.E.C.E).
