The two Canadian nationals who were kidnapped last week were saved.
A team of senior national security officials rescued the kidnappers' duo in a fierce shooting in a hiding place in the Kumasi slums.
The four kidnappers, who are all Nigerian nationals, were also arrested after the confrontation between them and the rescue force.
They would have received support from Ghanaians before committing the crime.
A National Security Special Operations team took over the girls' rescue operations on the evening of Monday, June 10.
The two girls who are in early childhood are in Ghana and offer a voluntary international service, but luck has eluded them and they were kidnapped last week.
However, on June 11, 2019, the Ghana Tourism Authority decided to close the home where the two girls remain in Kumasi, claiming that this one did not have a license and that it was not allowed. Nor was there a safety device.
