Inspections by the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) have updated 10 fuel filling stations with insufficient deliveries.

A statement issued by the Authority, with a copy to the Ghana News Agency, further indicated that two companies, Galaxy Oil, Spintex Road, and Agapet, Spintex Road, had broken the seal of the GSA without authorization.

In summary, out of 65 stations visited, 55 delivered the right quantity, 10 under-delivered, two companies having broken GSA's seal without authorization.

As part of its mandate to enforce the provisions of the Weights and Measures Act 1975 (NRCD 326), the GSA inspected fuel measuring and dispensing instruments in some parts of the country after the first phase of the verification. routine national fuel measurement devices. .

The statement indicated that Metrology Inspectors had conducted random inspections of fuel pumps at randomly selected service stations in the Greater Accra, Central and Eastern regions.

He pointed out that the exercise was aimed primarily at verifying the accuracy of the fuel dispensing pumps used by the fuel dispensers, to inspect and record if the service stations had the visuges of 10 liters.

This was to inspect and ensure that the GSA plastic seals of the dispensing pumps were not soaked, to lock the nozzles of the dispensing pumps being delivered and d & # 39; Issue failure notices if the pumps failed the sanction test.
