MyNewsGh.com has confirmed that the nine (9) kidnappers allegedly arrested for the abduction of two Canadian nationals have been flown to Accra from Kumasi, the regional capital of Ashanti.

This comes before the press conference scheduled by the Ministry of Information on the procedures that resulted in their arrest at dawn on Wednesday and plans for the rescue of the three girls abducted from Takoradi.

This portal includes six of the suspects who played a key role in the crime while three others played an auxiliary role.

Among the main suspects are three Nigerians and six Ghanaians who, when they went to the press, were airlifted by a military plane to Accra.

The two Canadians who were kidnapped last week were rescued on Wednesday in Sawaba, a suburb of Kumasi, by a team of members of the SWAT police unit and national security agents.

It would appear that the driver of the vehicle used for the abduction, a mechanic and another person, were the first to have been arrested and led the security personnel to arrest the others.

It will be remembered that two Canadians aged 19 and 20 respectively were abducted in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, last week.
