The Immortals Gaming Club (IGC), the parent company of the immortal sports teams and the Valiant Overwatch League of Los Angeles, has acquired Infinite Esports, the parent company of OpTic Gaming and the Houston Outlaws Overwatch League. The acquisition was announced Wednesday in a press release from IGC.

IGC will take control of all the many Infinite teams belonging to different brands. He will maintain his presence in the Overwatch League and League Championship Series (LCS). OpTic Gaming will continue to participate in Call of Duty tournaments. IGC will continue to compete in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive esports with his own team, MIBR, and will divest entirely of OpTic Gaming CS: GO team.

This will not be the first trip of the Immortals competing in the LCS. The team was previously considered one of the most prestigious teams in the league. However, when Riot decided to franchise the league early in the 2018 season, Immortals was not included in these plans, much to the fans' surprise. With the purchase of the parent company of OpTic Gaming, Immortals, and IGC, the LCS will once again become one of the league's main dealerships by modifying OpTic Gaming to become Immortals. OpTic will continue to participate in the league under its current name for the remainder of 2019 and will be renamed Immortals in 2020. OpTic Gaming is currently 4-0 after the first two weeks of the summer LCS division.

As for the Overwatch league, there are now two teams that are now chaired by the IGC. This is the first major sale of an Overwatch League franchise, not to mention that of another franchise in the league. According to a press release, IGC will try to facilitate the sale of Houston outlaws to a third party. Until then, the Houston Outlaws will be managed by IGC as an entity entirely separate from their own LA Valiant team.

According to a statement from the President and CEO of Activision Blizzard Esports Leagues and Overwatch League Commissioner Pete Vlastlica, the Outlaws will also benefit from intensive supervision from the league office in order ensure their competitive integrity, IGC controlling both teams. .
