Deputy Minister warns BECE candidates against exam errors

Sunyani, June 12, GNA – Ms. Freda Prempeh,
Deputy Minister of Gender, Childhood and Social Protection, warned Tuesday
517,332 candidates writing this year's Basic Education Certificate
National Examination (BECE) to waive examination errors in order to avoid
cancellation of results.

She expressed the hope that all major
actors in the education sector would do their best to ensure credible relationships.

In a statement copied to Ghana News
Agency (GNA), Ms. Prempeh, Member of Parliament for Tano North
Constituency of the new region of Ahafo, advised candidates to introduce themselves
their time to read and understand the questions well before tackling the
examination.

She also urged candidates not to panic,
saying that they had just been reviewed on what they had already learned in
school.

"It is my hope and my prayer that you all come
brilliantly as a product of your persistence, hardworking and
signings. I hope you will all go well for you to enjoy the Free SHS
under the NPP government for a better future, "she said.

"Please kindly prepare and avoid
all kinds of exam mistakes, get ready, take your time to read and
understand the questions for clarification, she advised the candidates.

"Once again, I wish all teachers and supervisors
good luck with the task today. We hope that all the main actors of
Education will do everything possible to ensure the credibility of BECE this year. "

"I would also like to urge parents and parents to
tutors to provide applicants with the necessary support to ensure that they
have enough time to study accurately and an acceptable environment for
their exams, "added the deputy minister.
