It's a big day on the football calendar as matches are announced for the new Premier League season. Chelsea should know his schedule for the 2019/20 campaign.

But there is much to be done regarding the Blues in addition to the enthusiasm aroused by the upcoming matches, including the future of the manager, Maurizio Sarri, while he was on the point to return to Italy to join Juventus.

And as his future as Chelsea's boss seems more and more uncertain, we look at the latest news from Stamford Bridge, including what people have said about one of the main candidates for replacing the Italian in the hotseat.

What would Maurizio Sarri mean for Juventus for Gonzalo Higuain?

The boss of Chelsea is about to accept the move to Turin to join Juventus as a successor to Mbadimiliano Allegri.

Sarri is about to join Juventus. Does this mean that Gonzalo Higuain follows?

Argentina had a rather disappointing half-season in Chelsea after making the Juventus loan transfer in January.

The 31-year-old has only scored five Premier League goals in 14 appearances, including 13 on starts, including two against the Huddersfield town.

But Chelsea has the opportunity to extend its loan agreement, as confirmed by Juventus in the decision taken in January.

The January Juventus declaration was as follows: "The agreement also gives Chelsea FC the possibility to extend the loan until 30 June 2020, for a consideration of € 18 million to be paid in the course of the loan. 2019/2020, or to acquire the player's registration rights on a permanent basis of € 36 million to be paid over two financial years. "

Will that happen or Higuain return to Juventus to find Sarri in Serie A after his success in Napoli?

Does Chelsea turn back on Sarri?

Reports in Italy suggest that Sarri is about to make the change to join Juventus.

But according to The Sun, there was a dramatic U-turn. Chelsea reportedly tried to convince the Italian to stay in West London.

Sarri signed a three year contract with the club last summer when he replaced Antonio Conte. Although he was quoted as having said that he was homesick after a "difficult year" with the Blues, it was reported that members of Chelsea's hierarchy are reluctant to let him go , after the Blues won the Europa League and won the UEFA Champions League with third place in the Premier League.

And although Sarri's methods and style of play have not been universally popular with fans, Chelsea would wonder if trying to persuade him to stay is the best option despite the club transfer ban .

The verdict on Frank Lampard

The legend of the blues is among the first to replace Sarri, if he leaves to join Juventus.

He did well in his first season as a manager with Derby County, guiding the Rams to the playoffs, before losing to Aston Villa at Wembley.

But that did not prevent him from being heavily involved in replacing Sarri at Stamford Bridge, the bookmakers making him the favorite to be the manager of next season.

So what did others say about Lampard and when he was ready for the job?

Several managers of the championship have praised the former midfielder, including Sheffield boss Wednesday, Steve Bruce.

According to the Derby Telegraph, the Derby Telegraph said: "I am delighted for Frank's squad that Stevie (Steven Gerrard) and himself are getting into management because we need promising young UK managers.

"It's nice to see Frank make a good punch.

Nottingham Forest's boss, Martin O'Neill, also praised the former English international and his references as a manager.

"If his career as a manager has something to do with his playing career, he's about to be great," said O Neill at the Nottigham Post in February.

"He is one of the best players to have played in the Premier League. He was a scoring midfielder with an incredible reputation.

"He did well in his first season in management, but you probably guess, given his experience in football."

And you can see more about what the managers he has faced this season, including Marcelo Bielsa, the boss of Leeds, and Dean Smith of Aston Villa, have talked about it here.

It's not just the opposing managers who have praised the legend of Chelsea, the comments of his Derby players also showing how much he is valued as a boss and how much he's done with the Rams.

"It makes us play," Jack Marriott told DerbyshireLive.

"After what I know, we did not play so much football last season, so he changed the style of football and brought in a lot of players.

"Being able to get there has shown what the manager and staff can bring us, and how we as players can adapt to different styles.

"He encourages us in the locker room and you can get advice from him.

"He did it on the big stage – in the final of the Champions League, so it's good for us that we can participate."

Meanwhile, Derby midfielder Tom Huddlestone also spoke about what Lampard and the Rams have done this season, citing the disappointment of not missing a promotion.

"Reflecting on the campaign, the 32-year-old said:" I think overall, being the manager's first season, nine new recruits (summer), young boys coming in, everyone clicked Instantly, especially outside of We went even further than last year.

"It's disappointing (not to be promoted), of course, but once the dust settles in the next few weeks, we may be able to consider the season as positive."
