Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has proposed that Frank Lampard become the next head coach of the Blues and succeed Maurizio Sarri.

The future of the Italian remains uncertain, the discussions on a transfer to Juventus still being ongoing.

Lampard was the best candidate for the post if Sarri returned to Serie A despite a management season under his belt with Derby County.

Drogba and Lampard were part of one of the most successful teams in Chelsea history, winning the Champions League with many other titles.

And the former striker thinks the Blues should support the former midfielder if Sarri had to leave after a season in the lead.
