The next Chelsea manager: Didier Drogba chooses who he wants to replace Maurizio Sarri

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has proposed that Frank Lampard become the next head coach of the Blues and succeed Maurizio Sarri.

The future of the Italian remains uncertain, the discussions on a transfer to Juventus still being ongoing.

Lampard was the best candidate for the post if Sarri returned to Serie A despite a management season under his belt with Derby County.

Drogba and Lampard were part of one of the most successful teams in Chelsea history, winning the Champions League with many other titles.

And the former striker thinks the Blues should support the former midfielder if Sarri had to leave after a season in the lead.

"I think so [Lampard] "It's a very good option for the club," Drogba said. He's done well with Derby, you know, he's brought the team to the finals and I think that's a very good option for the club. "

One of the apprehensions of some Chelsea fans is related to Lampard's experience as a top manager.

When he retired from the game in February 2017, Lampard worked in the suburbs with BT Sport to craft his coaching badges.

Didier Drogba, John Terry and Frank Lampard have given Chelsea a formidable core of leaders able to withstand any storm.

He then held the Rams' leading position before the 2018/19 season, placing them in the final against the championship barrage, bowing 2-1 against Aston Villa.

However, Drobga does not think it should interest people and that his former teammate can still succeed as the boss of the Blues where he has the opportunity.

When asked if Lampard was ready, Drogba replied, "So he'll never be ready, then?" Does he have to wait until he's 40 or 50 to be ready? that it depends on your experience and depends on your desire to succeed and do it.

"If he feels ready, I do not think it's too early."
