The corpse of a man buried three months ago at Moseaso Public Cemetery, near Anyinam, in the east of the country, has disappeared from the grave.
The remains of Kwadwo Oduro are believed to have been stolen with clothes and other items that the family has buried.
Ebenezer Tetteh, Deputy Police Superintendent (DSP) of the Eastern Region, said following a report by Nana Twumwaa, Queen Mother of Moseaso and Abusuapanin Michael Acheampong, also of Moseaso, that the police went to the scene.
He added that the police had detected that about 50% of the graves at the Moseaso cemetery had been discovered by strangers.
According to the Tetteh DSP, photographs of the scene have been taken but, to date, no suspects have been arrested.
